This Dutch Army field telephone is in great condition and complete. It was made in the 1950s. No damages, only some repairs to the canvas carrying bag. The handset wire is usually coiled on these phones. This one is not, but shows signs of age. Perhaps a field repair, or different type from the regular TA-3017's. It is mostly made of Bakelite with fibers. It was intended for use in the field by wire communication. A reel of wire (The DR-8) was spun out, connecting this kit to the main switchboard at the command center. It works on 2x 1,5 Volt D battery's and the system can also be wound up by hand. A really nice piece of Dutch history that is not often found in this condition!
