Dutch M1917 Stormdolk. Made by Staatsbedrijf Der Artillerie-Inrichtingen Hembrug, 1917 - 1918 and issued to the Army and Marines between 1917 and 1940 in the Netherlands. The dagger and scabbard are well marked with matching numbers "1357A". On the scabbard "C W" can be seen standing for, Centrale Werkplaats. A double marking of the 1357A and an additional marking that was marked by the soldier, "304" The leather retaining strap is fragile, but not broken. The blueing on the blade only remains on the top part of the blade, and gradually moves down to bear metal. A great piece!
