
A nice original Dutch M53 Helmet. Complete with all original liner, burlap camo, netting and rubber band. The helmet is based on the American M1 design and was issued to the Dutch Armed forces between 1953 and the 1990's. The metal shell is marked "VDN 02/88" and made by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikkelwerke in 1988. The liner is marked SH89 and is made by Schuberth in 1989. The soldier marked his name on the liner. "Terpstra" A common name in the northern part of the Netherlands, Friesland.
