A nice World War II Dutch M38 helmet with the Dutch Lion shield.
The liner is mounted in the Romanian style, which is slightly more slanted toward the front instead of the more horizontal mounting seen on Dutch-manufactured M38 helmets. This way of mounting makes the liner sit slightly larger in the shell. The downside was more tension on the liner. Two of the front liner pins are loose, which is typical for liners installed in this Romanian configuration.
Small traces of black paint are visible throughout the shell. The name “Appel” is written inside the helmet just above the backpack belt slot.
Overall in complete, fair condition.
